Outraged Homeowners of Texas(OHOT)is a non-profit organization promoting change to Texas Law concerning the licensing and bonding of home improvement contractors and remodelers. OHOT has no fees or dues and accepts no contributions or donations. The primary purpose of OHOT is to unite homeowners to lobby for a change in current Texas laws.

Been Ripped Off??
As a Texas Homeowner we were robbed by a contractor for more than $43,000. He was payed to buy the materials for a home remodeling job and spent the money for personel use. We have been unable to get criminal charges brought against him and current Texas laws do not protect the homeowner. Since this has happened, we have talked to dozens of homeowners with similar stories. It is time for homeowners to unite and demand that contractors be licensed and bonded. Your home is a valuable asset and everyone who works on it should be licensed. Plumbers and electricians are so why not contractors and carpenters.
